Southcoast Health System Federal Credit Union is a non-profit cooperative, formed and owned by its members in 1976 to help encourage wise savings. In 1998 there was a hospital merger that resulted in the unification of two credit unions: St. Luke's Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital Credit Unions.
The members elect a Board of Directors which establishes policies. Official serve without pay.
Employees of the hospital, medical staff and their employees, and volunteers of the hospital are eligible to join the credit union. Immediate family members are also eligible for membership. Simply maintain a $25 balance and you are a member. Once a member, always a member!
Accounts are insured by NCUA.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying objects.
